This is the mockingjay from the book series The Hunger Games. I am on the right, my best friend is on the left. We got matching tattoos to represent our friendship, along with our love for the book series. In the books, the mockingjay stands as a symbol for rebellion to the capitol, and they are described as being as tough as rocks, and being able to thrive in almost any environment.
We got these done by Velma at Forbidden School of Body Art in Portland, Oregon. We have been friends for years and she has inspired my future career. I cant imagine going to anyone else.
